Furbiez Mobile Dog Grooming Terms and Conditions

Although we take every precaution to ensure the safety of your pet and property, Furbiez Mobile Dog Grooming (“we,” “us,” or “our”) cannot be held liable for any loss or injury to pets, persons, or property. By using our services, you (the customer and owner) agree to the following terms and conditions:

Aggressive / Difficult Pets
Our experienced team can handle challenging or aggressive pets, but we reserve the right to halt the grooming process if a pet becomes too difficult or poses a risk of injury to themselves or our staff. Full or partial grooming charges may apply.

We may recommend that your pet see a behavioral specialist.

Please inform us of any behavioral history to help our team make a positive first impression on your pet.

We do not sedate or tranquilize pets.

Matted Coats
Your pet’s well-being is our top priority. Severely matted pets will be shaved to prevent pain and suffering.

As a mobile service, we do not engage in “stripping” or de-matting severely matted pets due to the potential discomfort and extended time required.

By using our services, you grant permission for us to shave matted hair.

Additional fees may apply for severely matted pets.

We are not liable for any injury to pets as a result of severe matting. Regular grooming can help prevent matting.

Illness / Injury
All pets’ medical history must be disclosed before any service begins. We reserve the right to refuse grooming if the pet has:

Stitches from surgery

Open or weeping wounds

Signs of illness or injury

Vomiting, diarrhea, breathing difficulties, or unusual lethargy

By using our services, you agree that:

Your pet is fit and healthy (grooming sick or elderly pets is at the owner’s risk).

Grooming may reveal underlying skin or health issues, for which we cannot be held liable.

Your pet is vaccinated and up-to-date on shots.

In case of serious injury or illness, a vet may be called in, with costs borne by the owner.

The groomer and Furbiez are not liable for mishaps caused by non-disclosure of your pet’s condition or behavior.

Grooming pregnant pets is at the owner’s risk.

While we prioritize safety, grooming carries inherent risks, which the owner must accept. We cannot be held liable for any loss or injury.

Complaints / Alterations
For minor alterations, please speak to the groomers on-site. If we need to return for alterations, additional costs may apply.

Complaints must be addressed to management within 24 hours of the appointment.

Ticks and Fleas
Pets will be checked for ticks and/or fleas during pre-grooming. Treatment products will incur additional costs.

Severe cases should be reported to management before grooming.

We will advise on treating your pet and home environment to eradicate the problem. Prevention is key.

Marketing
We may film/photograph your pets for reference, our website, social media, and marketing purposes.

General Terms and Conditions

Payments
We accept cash, zapper, credit/debit cards, and EFT payments. Credit/Debit card payments must be arranged with management. EFT payments must be made before the appointment.

Late payments may incur fees, interest, and affect your credit record.

By using our services, you agree to cover all collection fees, late payment fees, interest, and legal fees.

Pricing
Prices are based on our best judgment of the information provided.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing based on the condition, type, and size of the pet.

Additional fees may apply for severely matted pets.

Prices are listed on our website and may change without notice.

Operating Hours
Our hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm, and Saturdays 7:30am – 3:30pm.

First appointments start at 8am; last appointments no later than 4pm, unless agreed otherwise.

As a mobile service, we operate on an ETA system rather than strict appointment times. Delays due to traffic or other unforeseen circumstances may occur.

Significant delays may incur additional fees of R100 for every 30 minutes.

We reserve the right to reschedule or terminate appointments if delayed over 15 minutes.

Booking Reservations
Reservations should be made in advance. Immediate appointments are not guaranteed.

Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. A cancellation fee of R100 may apply.
